About

Kevin Mackesy and his wife

My wife and I actin' the fool...

My name is Kevin Mackesy – welcome to my blog!  I got the title from Philippians 3:8 where Paul said he considered “all things loss” for the sake of knowing Christ. My desire is to be able to live that out, though it’s a daily struggle with myself.  I believe with the apostle Peter who said in John 6:68 when Jesus asked if the disciples wanted to leave Him like the rest of the crowds did, “Lord, to whom will we go?  You have the words of eternal life…”  It is these words I blog about.

I’ll be posting 2-3 new posts each week depending on how much free time I can wrangle out of my schedule.  In addition, every Friday I’ll try to post links to articles I’ve read throughout the week from around the web you might find interesting.  My hope and desire is for you to be challenged, encouraged, and blessed by the content you find here.  If you like what you read, feel free to comment.  If you don’t, comment anyway.  There is always room for disagreement.  What I say here is by no means Scripture, though I strive for theological accuracy in all that I write.   Ultimately, this blog should be for our collective good and God’s ultimate glory.

There are three primary ways for us to stay in contact:

  1. Facebook – Kevin Mackesy
  2. Twitter – @KevinMackesy
  3. Subscribe via email or RSS to the blog.

If you haven’t already subscribed, you should do it now so you’ll be notified anytime I post something new.

The most viewed posts of all time (2 months!) have been on Casey Anthony, Suffering, and Heroes.  That should give you a good sample of what you might find here.

In the future I’d like to add book reviews, suggested reading lists, great quotes, and the like so stay tuned!
